a device called the z machine has led to a new way of rhythm controlled explosions of dance. it is triggered by intense nanosecond bursts of soundwaves. the machines primary transmission lines are submerged in the Underground for insulation. a very small percentage of the huge energy used in the device escapes to the surface in the form of communal celebration. as in a lightning strike, the high voltages break down the mind-body interface, creating a transcendance of the sense.
